I have a love hate relationship with culottes. It's difficult to find a truly flattering pair for your body type and depending on the material, you need to maintain those wrinkles if you want them to look polished, breezy and crisp before wearing. I typically like to go for culottes that hug the hips/waist (depending on where they're meant to sit) snuggly and fall just above the ankles (if you're planning on wearing them with non-heeled shoes). If you're planning on pairing them with heels, by all means, go for the long, flowy, flared pairs that fall an inch or two from the ground when you have your heels on.
When i'm wearing white pants/skirts i like to really place emphasis on and cinch in the waist because lighter bottoms are not as naturally slimming and shape-flattering as their darker counterparts. This chunky belt was polished, had beautiful hardware and did such a great job of subtly pulling the look together and adding some shape-flatter --- that may have sounded weird but my point is: the right belts do wonders!
Overall, I wanted to stay simple and chic today and the white, grey and blacks did just that. The leather jacket, as always, added a little bit of edge, the fur vest added some lux, and i paired a gold drop necklace that matched the other gold accents as a final centerpiece.
