Chains and Laces
I was in a bit of a punk-ish mood this weekend (which is when this look was shot), so i paired this white silk top and ripped blue jeans with sleek leather accessories topped with chains & laces.
I know this is definitely not a very punk-ish look, but anyone who knows me can vouch for my lack of rocker/punk/cool vibes. My style definitely leans more towards the feminine side, with a hint of edge from leather/studded accessories at most, so within the confines of my personal style vocabulary, this is punk-y haha. And by "this" i mean the pairing of these grommeted, lacey leather boots and this chain smothered clutch that reminds me of a heavily pierced ear.
Even if this outfit if far from punk, i still need to gush about these boots! I recently came across this brand (Laurence Dacade Marcella), and it's everything i'm looking for in a great boot/bootie. The 2 inch block heels make them as comfortable as non-heeled shoes, the side-zip lace-up details somehow give the boots that "Parisian cool" they're notorious for, and the lady who makes them is the ultimate shoe connoisseur who, before starting this collection, created shoes for Chanel and Givenchy. I walked around in these shoes all day and my feet felt like half a million bucks! (i think only foot massages qualify for making them feel like a million).
