The weather has been slightly bipolar these days. It's warm, then rainy, then chilly. But i've been finding that bipolar weather actually makes it more fun to dress each day. It gives you a chance to be a little more creative in the morning (or in the evening for peeps who pick their looks the night before) and you start to truly appreciate the utilitarian function of some pieces.
Also, temperamental weather can make it easier to dress because you choose your "practical centerpieces" for the day and build your outfit around them. If it's raining, you can choose pieces that go well with your rainboots/raincoat. If it's sunny, you choose one or two centerpieces you know will keep you cool outdoors or warm in your overly airconditioned building and revolve your outfit around those.
Yesterday was brisk with no wind and very sunny (with no chance of rain) so i chose a pair of suede knee-high boots to keep me warm, which allowed me to wear my much lighter silk shift dress with tights. I paired the olive pieces with a third olive, vibrant, buttered leather belt to add some fun to the look.
