Monday Mens' Sweaters
Keeping it cozy and casual this overcast Monday with a sweater that i actually found in the Mens' section of Sandro, one of my favorite french brands. They design a lot of classics, usually playing with leather, lace and structure to give a modern twist to essential wardrobe pieces. I discovered a fur trimmed Parisian styled peacoat of theirs when i was a sophomore in high school, and ever since, i've looked to Sandro (+ their sister company Maje) for a majority of my blouse, blazer, leather jacket, and pea/trench coat staples.
Although Maje only makes womens' clothing, i'm a big fan of Sandro's mens' collections. Every once in a while i'll peruse on over and start touching all of the sweaters. The Sandro sweater i'm wearing today is so soft, chunky, stretchy and warm i don't think a picture will ever do it justice! I especially love the heathered detailing because all those different flecks of white, grey, black, and blues add to the sweater's rich texture.
I do recommend trying on mens' sweaters before buying though because sometimes the sleeves can be unbearably long and men tend to have wider shoulders than women, which causes the structure of the fabric in the shoulder area to be super unflattering sometimes. Other than that, i'd say it's always far more comfy to wear an oversized sumthin' sumthin' and you can easily chic it up with a pair of slim jeans, heels, and a polished bag.
